Nikon Trailblazer 10×25 Review: Worth your hard earned money?
The Nikon Trailblazer 10×25 ATB Binoculars are designed to endure the brutality of the outdoors. It boasts of a 10x magnification capability in 25mm objective lenses. This model is compact and durable, making it a great choice for sports buffs, hunters, bird watchers, trailblazers, and other outdoor enthusiasts.
This model comes with all the essentials for a basic set-up. For more advanced users, you may want to opt for an upgrade. Be mindful, though, as the quality of the add-ons is quite low. The neck strap is uncomfortable, the carrying case is dull, and the eyepiece covers are too tight.
These binoculars feature Bak4 roof prisms and multi-coated lenses. They have an IPD of 56-72mm which will accommodate most users well. For those who wear eyeglasses, no need for you to worry as they come with twist-up eye cups that provides up to 10mm of eye relief.
It is equipped with a smooth central focus knob that allows for quick viewing at a range of 11.5? to as far as you need. Aside from this, these binoculars have a wide field of view. It has a range of 1000 yards. This is an excellent one considering that it has compact lenses and 10x magnification. This is great for scouting a location or watching a field game like football.
One great feature of this pair is that it comes with Nitrogen-filled chambers and O-rings. This makes the product 100% waterproof and fog-proof, keeping it protected from mold, fungus, and heat damage.
These binoculars worked extremely well during daylight hours. However, it is a different case when it comes to lowlight conditions. The 25mm lenses just do not have a large enough surface to gather all the light. Because their light gathering capacity is pretty low, heavy cloud cover or any low light conditions will affect their clarity and contrast.
This pair is a lightweight one. Even with a protective rubber-armor coating, it weighs in at just under 10 ounces. However, it has a close-bridged design which means that you will not be able to get a firm grip around the lenses when you try to keep it from banging against your chest.
With normal use, the Nikon Trailblazer 10×25 ATB Binoculars are pretty much indestructible. It has an excellent coating that protects them while you are outside. It has a rubbery grip that lets you hold it well during damp and rainy conditions.
In conclusion, this pair is ideal for location scouting or game watching. However, it is not highly recommended for bird watching as you will not be able to truly appreciate the colors of your subject.
